We have worked with Global Santa Fe for 16 years and are always so humbled and amazed at the passionate, innovative and dedicated anti-trafficking work being done around the world! 🌎
Thank you Global Santa Fe for bringing special people from around the world to us and for the growth and connections these meetings foster.
We shared about our comprehensive work, centralized in Albuquerque since 2009, and also around the state and country, responding in vivo to survivor needs including crisis response, collaborating with law enforcement to bring a trauma-informed approach to victim identification, barrier free aftercare services, fighting for legislative change, and meeting survivors where and when they need help. Our visitors from Singapore, Bulgaria, Thailand, etc., shared similar stories and challenges in the human trafficking work and offered thought provoking ideas on enhancing the HT work.
Lynn Sanchez and her team are the reason that I have a second chance. Her team went to Texas and advocated for me before the Texas judicial system and brought awareness to to long term effects of human trafficking and the effects of my trauma. If it was not for their knowledge and advocacy I would be sitting in a prison cell. After my release this program continued to help me get on my feet. They always believed in me at my lowest. I don’t know where I would be at right now if the human trafficking aftercare program did not exist. I now have the privilege of advocating for others.
